Pilates is a form of exercise which concentrates on strengthening the body with an emphasis on core strength. This helps to improve general fitness and overall well-being.
Pilates concentrates on posture, balance and flexibility as well as focusing on the mind-body connection. While doing the various exercises your mind needs to be constantly aware of your breathing and the way your body moves.
Our Pilates classes are delivered by Sara and include mainly body weight exercises but equipment such as resistance bands, Pilates blocks and small dumbbells are also often used to add variety and intensity.
Different levels of each exercise are provided so that anyone of any ability of level can attend and benefit.
